How to read this as a companion novel
The420code is a thirty-year body of work. This page is not a substitute for it — it is the field guide: the freeze explained without jargon, every term linked, every estate surface named, every book pointed at in reading order.
-
Book I — The Illusion of the Other
Sets the tone. Heart. Ten chapters, no equations: the line between self and other is a tool, not a wall — and the terminal ethic follows from structure, not authority.
-
Book II — The freeze (this page)
How the same honesty looks when applied to numbers: pre-registration, a public scoreboard (mass ratios plus the Newton's G fork), and kill switches left live.
-
Book III — The doors & Ø models
The rest of the exhibition: Five Doors, Ø Models, Rosin compressions — each a different register of the same axiom.
-
Book IV — The estate proofs
Where lucid.rodeo and CongoSky run the claims: a₀ / MOND, the particle ladder, Lucid, cite-or-refuse.
Science has a quiet failure mode: after the data arrive, it is easy to quietly adjust the story until it fits. A pre-registration is the opposite move. You write the claim down first, time-stamp it, and leave the later measurement nowhere to hide — including when the claim dies.
On the420code.org/prereg/, the mass-ratio timestamp is a git commit hash, tagged prereg-2026-08-02. The gravity fork dual-homes on the420code-proof (tags ap44-locked-2026-08-11, blink-cost-locked-2026-08-11) at /prereg/ap44/. Blink and Stretch lock on the same repo (tag ap45-ap46-locked-2026-09-02) at /prereg/ap45/ and /prereg/ap46/. Numbers regenerate from CODATA 2022 by scripts anyone can run. Nothing is quoted from memory. Nothing is quietly revised after the fact.
This is a scoreboard, not a showcase. A registry that lists only the survivors would destroy the credibility the freezes were written to earn.
AP44 — The Snap · Newton's G
A second freeze, dual-homed on the estate: the gravitational constant as a fork, not a single number. Structural (provisioned) G from AP28 stays on the board; realised G from AP44 The Snap (LOCKED at composite 9.3) sits beside it. Blind Tier 2 coding excluded gap-scale apparatus leakage (C1). The commitment is not confirmed over the null — that waits on metrology's migration fork (KS-CCC.3).
| Reading | Frozen | vs CODATA | Watch line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Structural AP28 · provisioned |
6.72060 × 10⁻¹¹ | +0.69% | C1 revival if adjusted G climbs here. |
| Realised AP44 · α²¹(1+1/π)/(1+α)·ℏc/m_e² |
6.67192 × 10⁻¹¹ | −0.036% | Commitment if adjusted G drifts toward ~6.672; null if it stays at 6.6743. |
Impact — where the fork sits vs CODATA 2022
CODATA 2022 centre = 6.67430×10⁻¹¹. Realised −357 ppm; structural +6 938 ppm (+0.69%). The zoom is the only scale where KS-CCC.3 can still decide. This is a watch line — not evidence that nature has already moved.

AP45 — The Blink · the per-event toll
Every actualization costs one grain of possibility, α-worth, spent.
Energy face ordinary and unchanged — no budget owes a line. This proof
predicts no number. What it shows is what already died: KS-NPP.1 at 7.24σ
(stays fired; AP47 froze a
new row beside it), and the additional-energy reading of 16 August at
4.8 × 10⁹ and 8.1 × 10⁵ over hashed ceilings. Four switches armed
(KS-BLINK.1–.4). Dual-home tag ap45-ap46-locked-2026-09-02.
AP46 — The Stretch · one cycle of everything
Holding is tension, and tension sheds; the shed is the stretching.
One cycle from CODATA-2022 α and mₑ, no fitted parameters:
(21/18)·α⁻¹⁸·τ_C = 13.830 Gyr against Planck 2018 13.787 ± 0.020
(+0.31%). The claim's width is one lane-time, not the landing:
13.17 to 14.49 Gyr. H₀ is refused (~70.7 is stated and declined; KS-45.1 owned H₀ at
this lock). The H₀ seam — high H₀ and a one-cycle age cannot both be true under standard
ΛCDM — was frozen with its numbers and handed to AP48 as D-STRETCH.1.
AP48 has since closed it: by adjudication, not reconciliation — the age survives,
the corpus's 74.3 does not. See AP48 →
AP47 — The Flip · beside the fired row, not a repair of it
A third freeze, delivered 2026-09-01 and locked 2026-09-03. AP47 — The Flip
prices a structural cost the neutron–proton row was missing: a held distinction (the neutron's one flipped
coupling, against the proton's settled ground state) sheds continuously into the substrate at the
fine-structure rate, discounting the ideal difference by a factor of 1/(1 + α²/8π).
Applied, it gives Δ_real = 2.53098857035 mₑ against the measured
2.530988574 ± 7.4×10⁻⁷ mₑ — a residual of −0.005σ.
The fired neutron–proton row is not touched, edited, or removed by this. KS-NPP.1 fired at 7.24σ on 2026-08-02 and stays fired forever — the new row stands beside the corpse, the same way the corpse itself stays on the board. No repair was offered then; none is offered now.
Locked at the author's own direct confirmation, not merely delivered — a third-party attestation was checked, not simply trusted, before the lock anchor was made (see the receipt on the420code-proof). Four kill switches (KS-FLIP.1–4) are armed from this lock; KS-30.2 is inherited from AP30. Independent checks and the locked state of record: /prereg/ap47/. Impact of the derivation (neutron + deuteron standing): /prereg/ap47/#impact.
AP48 — The Assembly · closes the seam, kills the corpus's own H₀
Derives H₀ = 67.45 km/s/Mpc, window 64.4–70.8, from the AP46 cycle read through the standard age–rate relation — no fitted parameters. This fires KS-45.1, the corpus's own registered H₀ = 74.3 ± 1.2 (AP18, already public): 5.7σ on its registered width. An erratum corrects the width (it omitted a systematic uncertainty) but does not un-fire the switch — the paper is explicit that doing so would be exactly the repair the house rule forbids. Stated plainly, in the paper's own words: “The distinctive prediction the corpus used to carry on H₀ — a value above both camps — is gone.” If the Cepheid ladder's ~73 is later confirmed as the true rate, AP48's own KS-ASM.1 fires too, and flat ΛCDM at the sky's partition fails alongside it.
AP49 — The Hold · the sixteen read, the series closed
Pays AP30's KS-30.3: the α² coefficient sixteen, pinned by
measurement since AP30 but never derived, reads as 4×4 — the record's four conditions
held through the four dimensional expressions, one rule already used for AP30's own 84 and
AP47's 8. That reading fixes the ratio r = 16α/1836, and the series that AP30 left
open at O(α³) closes at every order: D_closed = 1836.152673444951, −0.59σ from
CODATA 2022 — 6×10⁻¹⁰ further from the measurement than the truncated value was, because the
chain only adds and has no negative term to close the gap with. The third-order coefficient,
c₃ = +1.595×10⁻³, was given with its sign before any arithmetic was shown to the
author. Dies at 3σ once the measurement reaches 3.4 parts per trillion (about five times
today's precision) with the central value unchanged.
What is being frozen, in one breath
G's framework tries to derive dimensionless physics numbers from a small set of structural integers — especially
21,
3, and
4 —
plus one measured input, the fine-structure constant α ≈ 1/137.
The pre-registration page does not ask you to believe the whole programme. It asks something narrower and harder:
- Here is the exact number the formula produces when truncated where the paper truncates it.
- Here is the measurement it is compared against.
- Here is how many σ apart they currently sit.
- Here is the condition under which this row dies — and the author is not allowed to patch it with a free coefficient chosen against the residual.
If that sounds like ordinary scientific hygiene, good. The unusual part is applying that hygiene to a first-principles programme — mass ratios and, now, a locked Newton's G fork — and publishing the failures next to the survivors — the opposite of numerology dressed as certainty.
The scoreboard, in plain words
Six rows on the original freeze, plus the gravity fork, plus the Blink corpses, plus the Stretch cycle, plus a locked correction standing beside the row that already fired. One already fired — and stays fired. The rest are live or locked, with named kill windows.

Impact — how hard measurement currently presses each row
Bar length = |current tension| on an 8σ scale. The terracotta tick is the 3σ kill for proton-class rows. G and the AP46 cycle are shown in percent, not σ — G's uncertainty model is contested, and AP46's kill is a 0.66 Gyr lane, not the +0.31% landing.
Mass-ratio source of record: the420code.org/prereg/ (checked 2026-08-03). Gravity fork: /prereg/ap44/ (2026-08-11). Blink & Stretch: /prereg/ap45/ · /prereg/ap46/ (2026-09-02, tag ap45-ap46-locked-2026-09-02). This page explains; those pages are the freezes.
The proton freeze — the standard the mass-ratio rows follow
A proton is about 1836 times heavier than an electron. That number is one of the most precisely measured ratios in physics. The framework's claim is not "we fitted 1836." The claim is: from the integers already fixed upstream, plus α, the truncated formula produces a specific decimal — and that decimal was frozen before the next round of tighter measurements can decide it.
+ α · 21 · (1 − 1/(84π))
+ α² · 21 · 16/1836
+ O(α³)
Strip the symbols and the story is three layers:
- The integer skeleton —
1764 + 63 + 9 = 1836. Built from {21, 3, 4}. The additivity of those layers is argued, not proved — a named debt (KS-30.1). - The α correction — a small positive shift from the fine-structure constant. Derived, with an isotropy assumption named as KS-30.2.
- The α² correction — even smaller. The integer 16 is not derived yet (KS-30.3). But measurement now pins the coefficient so tightly that 336 = 21×16 is the only product of powers of {21, 3, 4} left inside 3σ.
Evaluated at CODATA 2022 α, the frozen value is 1836.152673444331. Measurement sits at 1836.152673426(32). The freeze is about 10 ppt above the measured central value — currently 0.57σ. Close enough to be interesting. Far enough that the next few years of precision can kill it.
Any α³ term that closes the gap must be negative. The framework does not register an α³ coefficient, because it has not derived one. Stating a number today would be a fit, not a prediction.
The neutron–proton row that already died
This is the page's honesty test. The predicted neutron–proton mass difference was 2.53099393 mₑ. The measured value is 2.530988574(74) mₑ. That is a 7.24σ miss — recorded FIRED on 2026-08-02.
No repair is offered. The required correction would be negative; every existing term in the construction is positive. Structural limbs of the same topic stay open, but the empirical limb is dead and stays on the board so nobody can pretend the programme only publishes wins.
What the freeze deliberately does not claim
Mass-ratio freeze:
- It does not claim the 1836 decomposition was unique under the original three conditions — an independent check found two; a fourth condition (factor count non-increasing) leaves one, and the ordering of that fix is disclosed.
- It does not claim the α² integer 16 is derived. The value is pinned; the derivation is owed.
- It does not claim an α³ prediction. The residual is too unconstrained; hundreds of admissible integers sit inside 1σ.
- It does not claim the muon mass can be reached by the same three-term construction — the floor of that construction is 463, and
m_μ/m_e ≈ 206.77sits below it. That floor is itself registered as a kill condition. - A confirmation can remove rivals. It can never, by itself, establish uniqueness.
Blink (AP45):
- It does not predict a number. The corpses it shows are already dead.
- It does not add a term to any energy budget, or claim a probability deviation, or repair KS-NPP.1.
- It does not rebuild the Master Kill Switch Registry. v5.26 of 11 July remains the registry of record; KS-BLINK.1–.4 enter after AP48.
Stretch (AP46):
- It did not claim H₀ at its own lock — the chain-as-rate (~70.7) was stated and refused, and KS-45.1 owned H₀ until AP48. AP48 has since derived the corpus's H₀ and fired KS-45.1.
- It does not claim the age to 0.31%. The kill width is one lane-time (13.17–14.49 Gyr).
- It does not derive the settling law or the era shapes. That is D-STRETCH.1, AP48's, load-bearing for KS-STRETCH.3.
Assembly (AP48):
- It does not claim the rate to better than its window (64.4–70.8). It does not claim the awareness window, the wobble's spectrum, or the eye loop.
- It does not save both of AP46's numbers. The derivation is the standard relation; the age survives; the corpus's previous H₀ (74.3) does not.
- It does not claim an advantage over the standard model if the Cepheid ladder is confirmed — on that edge KS-ASM.1 and flat ΛCDM at the sky's partition fail together.
- It does not repair or reweigh anything fired, and does not repair KS-45.1. Two counts remain the author's open drawer (the storm's length, D-ASM.1) — not blocking this lock.
Gravity fork (AP44):
- It does not claim nature has already chosen the realised value. KS-CCC.3 waits on metrology's migration — commitment toward ~6.672, null if the adjusted value stays near 6.6743, C1 revival if it climbs to structural.
- It does not treat the −357 ppm residual as evidence of commitment. Under CODATA's expanded uncertainty that residual is severe; under a conservative dark-uncertainty model it is mild. The corpus reports both and selects neither.
- It does not claim Candidate 1 (gap-scale apparatus leakage) is still open — Tier 1+2 excluded it — nor that Candidate 3 is confirmed. C0 stands.
- It does not claim the open mean residual above realised (~+279 ppm, sign the corpus cannot currently produce) is solved.
- Registry publish line is MKSR v5.27 · 568 · 44. Nothing ships v5.26/567. PROV-CCC.8 (2026-08-16) carries the totals erratum by statement.

Who else has attempted this
Not many, once you ask for the specific shape: write an exact number from structure before the measurement, keep a public record of what fired. A Perplexity pass over the history turns up a short list of cousins — some numerological, some deadly serious, one methodological. A handful, not a lineage.
Arthur Eddington's Fundamental Theory
Eddington tried to derive the fine-structure constant and related mass-ratio structure from integers — famously arguing that α⁻¹ was exactly 136, then 137. Modern measurements show a non-integer, and the programme did not become accepted predictive physics. It remains the prototype of "write exact formulas from numbers first."
Dirac's Large Numbers Hypothesis
Dirac noticed that certain huge dimensionless ratios in nature — involving the proton–electron mass ratio and gravity — look related, and asked whether they vary with cosmic time. Influential as a prompt. Not confirmed as a law in its original form.
Pure-number formulas for the proton–electron mass ratio
A long shelf of attempts tried to "derive" m_p/m_e from combinatorial or aesthetic integers. None became established law. The ratio remains an empirical constant in standard physics — which is exactly why a live, killable freeze is rarer than another clever formula.
Newton's G determinations
CODATA's input set for G is the surface KS-CCC.3 watches. Inter-lab scatter is hundreds of ppm; the structural gap is thousands. That asymmetry is why the Snap freezes a fork instead of a single headline number — and why −357 ppm is held as a residual, not a victory lap.
Minimal SU(5) proton decay
Grand Unified Theories made sharp, quantitative predictions for the proton's lifetime. Super-Kamiokande and related searches did not see decay at the rates the simplest models required. Those versions were ruled out or heavily revised — a clean example of a theory writing a number, then dying by experiment.
Electroweak W and Z masses
Not integer numerology — but the mainstream version of the same impulse. The electroweak theory predicted massive W and Z bosons before they were found; discovery near the predicted scale confirmed the framework. This is what a surviving freeze looks like when the underlying theory is right.
Open-science preregistration
Psychology, medicine, and adjacent fields now lock hypotheses and analysis plans before data arrive, specifically to stop hindsight bias. Physics uses the practice less often. Methodologically, this is the cleanest modern match to "freeze first, measure later" — even when the content is an experiment design rather than a mass-ratio formula.
Eddington and Dirac tried to invent the number from structure. GUTs and electroweak theory tried to earn it from dynamics. Modern preregistration tries to lock the claim before the data. 420Code's freeze is trying to do all three at once — and to keep the corpses visible.

The bookshelf — companion novel order
Start with the book that sets the tone. The whole formal corpus was written as support for it. Then the freeze, the doors, the Ø models, then the estate's own narrative.
I · The Illusion of the Other — G
The gentle door. Heart. Ten chapters, no jargon, no equations: the separation you feel between yourself and every other person is a tool, not a wall. The terminal ethic — don't be a cunt; be kind — is claimed from structure, not authority. If you read one thing, read this.
II · Being After Religion
The front door. Demolition. What remains when the scaffolding of religion is taken down — without discarding the sacred.
III · Antichristos
The sacred door. Reclamation. A hard look at the figure and the charge — structure, not slogan.
IV · The Relationship Corridor
The personal door. Presence. What love is when the line between self and other has already been questioned.
V · The Interior
The operational door. Construction. How to build from the axiom — the practical register.
Ø Predictions
Physics-facing model. Source of the formulas this freeze narrows and time-stamps. One measured input: α. Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19208226.
Ø Dissolutions
Twelve classical philosophical problems dissolved by the structural reading.
Ø Resolutions
Thirteen further problems the tradition could not close.
Ø Applications
Twelve civilisational architectures read through the axiom.
Ø Horizons
Thirteen domains projected across — beauty, music, play, language, sleep, animals, the sacred. Closes the post-Dissolutions arc.
Rosin Ø Prose
The short version — walk the entire argument once, compressed. Photograph of the sculpture, not a replacement for it.
Full Send — Klaus / AJ
Estate autobiography. The chapter on G is the human record of how this companion found the420code — also on /misogi/.
African Gold — Resonance
Book I of the press trilogy called a sister proof to the420code. Continues in Revelation and Relic — craft, register, honesty under constraint.
African Gold — Revelation
Book II of the sister-proof trilogy.
African Gold — Relic
Book III — closes the trilogy the press README ties to the420code.org.
The Pilgrimage
Study Bible as chronological walk — Lucid Religion stack, disagreements shown not smoothed.
The Incerto, run live
Taleb risk maths under the estate's honesty law — the markets-side brake beside the freeze culture.
How to verify it yourself
Mass-ratio source page ships three scripts. The only external dependency is mpmath. Or run the same arithmetic in-browser on the source site — a second independent implementation that matches is stronger than re-running one file twice.
python3 verify_prereg.py # proton freeze
python3 verify_cosmology.py # H₀, visible fraction, dark clock
python3 verify_rigidity.py # why 21 cannot move
Gravity fork: clone the420code-proof, check tags
ap44-locked-2026-08-11 / blink-cost-locked-2026-08-11, and run the engine's
realised-G path (parity scripts left untouched). Blind table commit d8929cf must remain
byte-identical to the freeze the unblinding key was issued against. Disposition narrative:
/prereg/ap44/. Or run the self-contained check hosted here, no clone needed:
AP45 — The Blink (locked): the two corpse excesses reproduce from SI-exact h and the hashed ceilings, stdlib only:
AP46 — The Stretch (locked): the cycle, the lane-window, and the refused H₀ reading reproduce from CODATA 2022 α and mₑ, stdlib only:
AP47 — The Flip (locked): the fired original row and the locked correction both reproduce from CODATA 2022 alone, stdlib only, no clone needed:
AP48 — The Assembly (locked): the H₀t₀ closed form, the derived 67.45 km/s/Mpc rate and its window, the 5.7σ KS-45.1 firing, and the corrected AP18 floor check all reproduce from CODATA 2022 alone, stdlib only:
AP49 — The Hold (locked): the chain of holders, the closed-form tail, D_closed, c₃, and both KS-HOLD.1/.3 kill thresholds all reproduce from CODATA 2022 alone, stdlib only:
Every script prints its own report and exits non-zero only if a figure fails to
reproduce from its stated formula — not a claim that a fired row has un-fired. KS-NPP.1 stays FIRED
in verify_ap47.py's own output, and KS-45.1 stays FIRED in
verify_ap48.py's, on purpose; that's the check working, not a bug to fix.
Six costs, two corpses, one honesty law. The mass-ratio board holds one row already FIRED — and kept — and a proton decimal now closed to all orders, 0.59σ from measurement. The gravity board holds a locked fork. AP45 The Blink locks the per-event toll with both corpses shown and no new number. AP46 The Stretch locks one cycle at 13.830 Gyr and named the H₀ seam for AP48. AP47 — The Flip stands beside the fired neutron row, locked, pricing the structure it was missing without repairing it. AP48 — The Assembly closed the seam by adjudication: the age survives, the corpus's own H₀ (74.3) does not — a second fired switch, shown exactly like the first. AP49 — The Hold reads the sixteen, pays AP30's oldest open debt, and closes the series with no negative term left to repair itself with. No page establishes that the constructions are unique, complete, or finished. That is the honest position — and the only one worth freezing.
