Artist’s Note

This book, Cosmology, is the sixth notebook in the Ø Artist’s Proofs catalogue of The 420 Code. Where Notebook V (Particles and Matter) weighed the constants of Notebook IV and read what they make — a proton mass, the segregated antimatter, the surplus that survived — Notebook VI takes the single mechanism those notebooks established, the tension field of the break ε, and scales it to the universe. It is the first time the 420 Code reads cosmology directly: galactic rotation curves without a dark-matter particle, the acceleration scale that governs them, the cosmic web, the dark sector, and the loop that closes the cycle. All six are read from the same four axioms {S, B, R, C} and the single axiom 1:1 + 1×ε @ AS.

Chapter 2 (The Floor, AP18) derives the acceleration scale exactly: a₀ = αcH₀/(2π), with the apex-symmetry factor α = 2 ln(sec(½) + tan(½)) ≈ 1.0445 forced from the S² dipole by flux conservation and the dipole itself forced by Poincaré–Hopf. The functional form and the exact coefficient α/(2π) ≈ 0.1662

are parameter-free; the empirical confrontation is carried as a falsifiable prediction of H₀ ≈ 74 km/s/Mpc.

loop runs from break to door to break. It is the most conjectural chapter in the notebook and the most rigorously fenced: a three-layer certainty system, every claim tagged with its layer, and nine explicit kill switches — four of which guard the central conjecture directly.


Notebook VI engages the kill switches recorded in the Master Kill Switch Registry — the formal falsification handles for every load-bearing claim. The two heaviest tests are named openly, with teeth: structure formation (KS-41), the hardest empirical test in the 420 Code, and the dark-matter particle search (KS42.1), the sharpest blade in the dark-sector papers. This is the most quantitatively exposed notebook in the body of work, and its central predictions are on the table now, not deferred. It says so.

Where Notebook VI fits

The 420 Code is organised across eight bound notebooks. Each notebook is a standalone book carrying one division of the architecture; the eight together carry the full body of work. Notebook VI depends on Notebook I for the axioms, the {S, B, R, C} conditions, and the manifold identity (AP20); on Notebook II for spacetime (AP08, AP10); on Notebook III for the quantum record; and on Notebook IV for the forces and constants — in particular AP06 (the leakage constant α), AP24 (the six-face reading of ε), and AP28 (the twenty-one-channel count and the value of G). It also stands on Notebook V (AP30) for geometric resistance. It opens the cosmological programme those notebooks make possible.

How to read this book

The book alternates two voices as the material requires. Narrative passages carry the structural reading — the magnet, the eye, the pipe and the room, the soap film, the clock — in plain language; formal passages carry the lemmas, propositions, and the arithmetic a physicist can check, and are preserved verbatim. Each chapter keeps its own architecture: an Artist’s Note opens it, a Dependency-and-Scope section states what it does and what it owes, the numbered body

carries the derivation, and a Kill Switches section names the falsification handles before the chapter closes.

A note on notation across chapters

Three notational items recur across the notebook and are worth flagging at the door. The symbol ε has a single meaning throughout: the unique unpaired element of the axiom 1:1 + 1×ε @ AS — the break. But ε has several faces (AP24), and the chapters read different ones: its coupling face is the finestructure constant αₑₘ ≈ 1/137 (AP06). Distinct from that finestructure α, Chapters 2 and 3 use α for the apex-symmetry factor ≈ 1.0445 (AP18’s S² dipole correction, explicitly not the fine-structure constant). Substrate stiffness appears as two distinct quantities that share the magnitude 2.15×10⁴⁶ but not the dimensions: Λ_sub, the dimensionless stiffness ratio (Edition 04, used in Chapter 1), and λ, the dimensionful constant with units of energy per length (AP15, used in Chapters 3 and 5). Where a symbol could collide, each chapter disambiguates it locally.

Reading order

The chapters are bound in reading order, which is not APnumber order. The natural chain is AP17 → AP18 → AP21 → AP41 → AP42 → AP04, and that is the order here: the tension field and the galactic floor (Chapters 1–2) build the cosmic web (Chapter 3), which feeds the black holes whose channel

structure gives the dark sector (Chapter 4) and its clock (Chapter 5), and the loop hypothesis (Chapter 6) closes the cycle. Every chapter depends on AP20 (the Embedding Hypothesis and Quantum-Record Alignment, proved in Notebook I); Chapter 6 also depends on AP03. The dependencies run forward through the chain; no chapter depends on one bound after it.

A note on epistemic status

Every load-bearing claim in this notebook carries a status label, and the labels mean what they say. DERIVED: forced from the axioms or a closed prior result, with no free parameter. STRUCTURAL: forced in form by the axioms, with a step identified as a structural reading rather than a closed derivation. IDENTIFICATION: a named correspondence between an axiom structure and a physical object. PREDICTION: a parameter-free number put on the table for observation to confirm or kill. CONJECTURAL: held openly as a conjecture, not a derivation, and fenced by kill switches. EMPIRICAL: a claim whose falsification handle is an observation or experiment. SCOPE-NOTE: a boundary statement marking what a section does not claim. Where a chapter uses a near-synonym, it maps to one of these. The conjectural core lives in Chapter 6 and is labelled as such throughout.

This is Artist’s Proof 17 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. It asks why galaxies hold together. The stars at a galaxy’s edge orbit far too fast: under Newtonian gravity and the visible mass alone, they should fly off. The standard answer is dark matter — about five times more invisible mass than visible, in a halo nobody has detected. This paper gives a different answer, and it requires no new particle.

The substrate has two conditions: 0, the fold (gravity, the black hole, the dark); and 1, propagation (light, matter, the visible). They are conjugate, held in tension, and the tension between them is the break ε. The field lines of that tension behave like the field lines of a magnet — they leave one pole, curve across vast distance, and always close on the other. They cannot break, because AP06’s Leakage Theorem makes the leakage nonzero for finite c. Where records are dense (the inner galaxy) Newton dominates and the field is invisible. Where records are thin (the outskirts) the topology shows through as a floor — a residual acceleration that flattens the rotation curve. The galaxy is the eye: a black hole at the fold, the visible disk at the open, the tension field between.

From the closure geometry the paper derives the transition scale a₀ = cH₀/(2π), within about 8% of the empirical value,

and the baryonic Tully-Fisher relation v⁴ ∝ M as an exact fourth-power law. It does not yet reproduce cluster dynamics or large-scale structure formation — those are carried as live kill switches, and the structure-formation case is the hardest test in the body of work. The paper also corrects, on the record, a sign error from its first draft: the cosmological constant Λ is repulsive and steepens rotation curves; it is not the mechanism. The mechanism is the tension field.

This is Artist’s Proof 18 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. AP17 told you the room holds the stars: the tension field of ε, topologically closed, provides a floor acceleration that flattens galactic rotation curves. But AP17 only claimed the scale of that floor — a₀ ≈ cH₀. It did not derive it. This paper derives it: every factor, every coefficient, from the axioms {S, B, R, C} and the one bridge hypothesis (the Embedding Hypothesis, proved in AP20).

The derivation runs through the widest closing field line, which reaches the Hubble radius Rₕ = c/H₀ and curves back at the gentlest possible curvature 1/Rₕ. Its apex acceleration is c²/Rₕ = cH₀. The dipolar topology — which AP17 merely asserted — is here forced from {S, B, C} by the Poincaré–Hopf theorem, giving a loop of circumference 2πRₕ and a coherent fraction 1/(2π). Axiom R’s monoid additivity (Lemma 1) makes the acceleration scale linearly with that fraction. The result is a₀ = αcH₀/(2π), with the correction factor α = 2 ln(sec(½) + tan(½)) ≈ 1.0445 computed exactly from the S² dipole’s flux conservation. No free parameters.

At H₀ = 74 km/s/Mpc the prediction matches the empirical MOND scale to within measurement uncertainty (sub-percent). Read the other way, the argument predicts the Hubble constant from galactic rotation curves: H₀ = 2πa₀/(αc) ≈ 74

km/s/Mpc — a parameter-free value sitting in the contested window of the Hubble tension. The functional form and the exact coefficient are derived; what remains open is empirical: whether H₀ converges where the floor says it should.

Where this paper fits in the body of work

AP18 is a chapter of Notebook VI (Cosmology). It sits directly downstream of AP17 (The Room): AP17 establishes the tension-field mechanism and claims the floor scale; AP18 derives that scale exactly and, in doing so, derives the dipolar topology AP17 only asserted. AP21 (The Web) then takes the field to the cosmic scale, using AP18’s Lemma 1 (the measure homomorphism) and the floor a₀. AP18 depends on AP06 (the Leakage Theorem forces closure), AP15 (the connection carries the causal structure), AP08/AP10 (the manifold and its S² link), and AP20 (the Embedding Hypothesis, proved — which makes the field-line curvature the manifold’s curvature).

This is Artist’s Proof 21 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. It asks how the cosmic web got there. Look through a strong enough telescope and the galaxies are not scattered: they hang on filaments, cluster at nodes, and leave vast voids between. The standard model builds that web by pouring in cold dark matter — invisible particles that collapse first and dig the wells the gas falls into. This paper builds the same web without the particle.

The mechanism is already in the body of work. AP17 derived the tension field of ε between the fold and the propagation; AP18 derived the acceleration floor that field enforces. This paper takes that field to the largest scale. The vacuum, forced to close by Axiom S and AP06’s Leakage Theorem, is under global tension against the expansion. Tension stored in length wants to be short; the expansion forces it to be long. The compromise is a branching tree of shared corridors — filaments — because the minimum-length network connecting distributed matter is a Steiner tree, not a smear. Gas pools where the corridors cross, the fabric folds, and a primordial black hole drops a topological anchor that summons the galaxy around it.

What this paper establishes is the structural mechanism: no dark-matter particle is required because the structure is

carried by the topology of the vacuum itself. What it does not yet establish is the quantitative confrontation — the CMB power spectrum, the matter power spectrum P(k), the baryon acoustic oscillation scale. Those are computational debts, not structural gaps, and the paper says so plainly. This is the hardest empirical test in the 420 Code, and the argument hands you the weapon to kill it.

This is Artist’s Proof 41 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. It reads the dark sector — the 95% of the universe that does not radiate — not as missing matter but as the unbroken mirror. The 420 Code holds two numbers: α = 1/137.036, the coupling strength (how strong the break is, AP06), and 1/21, the channel partition (where the actualised energy lands, AP10/AP28). The arena has twentyone geometric channels. Electromagnetism opens one — the splinter, the +1×ε, the 4.76% we can see. The other twenty are the symmetric 10:10: they gravitate but do not radiate, because only asymmetry radiates. That is the dark sector. The total dark fraction (20/21 ≈ 95.24%) is a structural count; the internal split between dark matter and dark energy is derived in AP42 (The Clock).

From the scale-invariance of the axiom the paper draws the holographic splinter: any fragment large enough to contain one break reproduces the full architecture, which is why the visible universe looks self-consistent from inside. It identifies stellar fusion as the ongoing break — the Big Bang in the present tense — and traces the seven-stage loop from break to energy to records to accumulation to drift to the door (the black hole, AP04) and back. It argues, structurally, why α cannot be derived from within the splinter: you cannot read the address from inside the room. And it grounds the terminal

This is Artist’s Proof 42 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. The observed energy budget of the universe is roughly 69% dark energy, 26% dark matter, 5% visible matter (Planck 2018). The body of work already derives the total dark fraction — 20/21 ≈ 95.24% — from the channel count (AP10, AP28, AP41). What it did not derive was the internal split between dark matter and dark energy. That was Debt D44, the most important open quantitative gap in the cosmological sector. This paper addresses it.

The claim: the 69/26 split is not a partition of channels and not a constant of nature. It is a clock reading. Dark matter is not a substance — it is a process: the ongoing defragmentation of structured records inside black holes (AP09’s forgetful functor), still carrying mass-energy, still clustering, no longer radiating. Dark energy is not a force — it is the reservoir: substrate content that has completed defragmentation and returned to the symmetric 1:1 state, the condensate at rest. The split measures how far the universe has progressed through its current defragmentation cycle.

One timescale governs it, derived from the axiom system: τ = (6/21) × t_H ≈ 3.9 Gyr — the six faces of ε (AP24) over the twenty-one coupling channels (AP28), applied to the Hubble time. With a constant-feeding approximation this yields dark

energy 68.85% (Planck 68.89%), dark matter 26.39% (26.07%), visible 4.76% (4.86%) — the two dark fractions within 1.3% of measurement, the visible within ≈2%, with zero free parameters. The same counting logic that gives AP28 the gravitational constant gives this paper the dark sector. The central prediction is that the split is epoch-dependent, which dissolves the cosmological coincidence problem and is observationally testable. It takes the channel count from AP10/AP28 and the visible-channel identification and dark-sector reading from AP41, and supplies the internal dark-sector split AP41 owes (D44). It uses AP09 (defragmentation as the forgetful functor), AP24 (the six faces of ε), AP04/AP41 (the loop — black holes as doors), AP03 (the condensate and substrate stiffness), AP20 (the substrate clock), AP21 (filamentary structure feeding black holes), and AP30 (geometric resistance).

How to read this paper

The spine is one derivation: a single timescale τ = (6/21) × t_H, fed through a rate equation, yields the three fractions. The structural identifications — dark matter as process, dark energy as reservoir — carry the reading; the formal blocks (the timescale ratio, the rate equation and its convolution solution, the result, the epoch table) are preserved verbatim. The central prediction is the epoch dependence, and the sharpest kill switch is empirical: find a dark-matter particle and the mechanism is dead.

This is Artist’s Proof 04 of The 420 Code, a chapter of Notebook VI — Cosmology. It proposes a structural identity: that a black-hole interior at the quantum-gravity scale and the origin of an expanding universe are the same structure, read from two sides of a transition hypersurface. The inside of a black hole is a collapsing universe; the maximal extension reveals an expanding universe on the other side. The mathematics of this identity — the Schwarzschild interior as a Kantowski-Sachs cosmology, the Kruskal-Szekeres extension — has been published since 1966. AP04 reads it as atemporal: not a bounce in time, but one structure foliated two ways.

Because this paper reaches across established physics, speculative-but-published physics, and philosophical interpretation, it carries a three-layer certainty system, and every claim is tagged with its layer. Layer 1 is established (the diffeomorphism, the entropy bounds, the Page curve). Layer 2 is speculative but published (Popławski’s torsion mechanism for singularity avoidance and isotropisation). Layer 3 is philosophical interpretation (the structural identity itself, the awareness identification, the ethics, the formalisation conjecture). The central result is Conjecture L7 — the metric equation g⁺ = (φ⁻¹)(g⁻) + ε·h — which formalises the axiom 1:1 + 1×ε across the transition under five explicit assumptions. It

is a conjecture, not a derivation; the paper carries nine kill switches, four of which — KS-L0.1, KS-L0.2, KS-L0.8, KS-L0.9 — guard the conjecture directly.

The sharpest obstacle is named openly: isotropising the anisotropic Kantowski-Sachs interior into the isotropic FRW cosmology we observe (KS-L0.8). The fine-structure constant is acknowledged as not derived (D3); its underivability is consistent with the structural argument in AP41 (you cannot read the address from inside the room). The paper does not protect itself — it tells you where to cut. Nothing is imported beyond the cited established and published physics; the axiom and its consequences descend from {S, B, R, C}.

Where this paper fits in the 420 Code

AP04 is a chapter of Notebook VI (Cosmology) — the loop hypothesis itself. It is the conjectural step that AP41 (The Loop) inherits at Stage 6 (the door): AP41’s KS-41.3 inherits AP04’s KS-L0.1. AP04’s two constraints (the compression constraint ρₚ and the propagation constraint c) are the same constants whose conjugacy AP03 conjectures; if AP03’s conjugacy holds, the two constraints are not independent. The paper draws on established relativity (Kantowski & Sachs 1966; Kruskal–Szekeres) and published Einstein–Cartan torsion work (Popławski).

How to read this paper

Notebook VI set out to read cosmology from the tension field of ε. It closes as a single sustained argument, scaled from the galaxy to the universe, with the empirical content stated plainly and the debts named.

What Notebook VI establishes. First, galaxies hold together without a dark-matter particle: the tension field of the break provides an acceleration floor that flattens rotation curves, and the scale of that floor is derived exactly — a₀ = αcH₀/(2π), with the apex-symmetry factor α ≈ 1.0445 forced from the S² dipole and the dipole forced by Poincaré–Hopf, parameterfree (Chapters 1–2). Second, the cosmic web is the minimumlength configuration of that same field — filaments, nodes, and 120° junctions as the Steiner motif (Chapter 3). Third, the dark sector is the unbroken mirror: twenty channels to the visible one, the 4.76% a count rather than a coincidence (Chapter 4), and the 69/26/5 partition is a clock reading — τ = (6/21) × t_H, the two dark fractions within 1.3% of Planck and the visible within ≈2%, with zero free parameters (Chapter 5). Fourth, the loop closes the cycle: the interior of a black hole read as a new expanding region, held as a fenced conjecture (Chapter 6).

What Notebook VI does not close. The quantitative confrontation with structure formation — the CMB power spectrum, P(k), the BAO scale — is owed, tracked as KS-41 and the structure-formation debt (AP21-D1), and it is the hardest empirical test in the 420 Code. The dark-matter particle search (KS-42.1) is the sharpest blade: a single laboratory detection would damage the tension-field reading. The formation-history convolution of the clock (D48) is named and open. The loop hypothesis carries its heaviest load in the isotropisation obstacle (KS-L0.8). These are not hidden; they are the empirical edge on which the notebook can be killed, and several of the experiments are already running.

The one object. The deepest reading of Notebook VI is that its six chapters are one. The tension field is the break ε read at the manifold scale: it is the floor under a galaxy, the web across the sky, the mirror behind the visible, the clock on the dark sector, and the loop that returns the whole. The visible universe is the splinter — the +1×ε; the dark sector is the unbroken 1:1; the loop is the mechanism that runs from break to door to break. One crack, whose coupling face has depth α ≈ 1/137, read across every scale the universe offers.


Notebook VI is the most quantitatively exposed notebook in the body of work, and it stands as a structural chain from four axioms to a falsifiable cosmological programme — every loadbearing claim carrying its kill switch, every debt named in the

Master Kill Switch Registry, and the central predictions on the table now.

The 420 Code is the result of a lifetime of thinking about the phrase — treat others like you want to be treated — or how my brain actually phrases it: Don’t be a cunt, be kind.

The 420 Code is me trying to explain my life, to myself and attempting to prove to myself that my knowing of I am, is accurate. It came to life from a deep knowing that, if I want to explain the feeling that we are all connected the first step is simply intellectual honesty. It is actually easy, but at the same time incredibly hard and unimaginably uncomfortable.

This body of work was not a labour of love. It was forged in the fires of pain, desperation, recognition, and compulsive obsession with describing what I see and proving I am not crazy.

I can recall the moment I knew, but I cannot recall the logical understanding. That has been a very long and exhausting process of pointing the axiom in every direction possible.

The more I understood, the greater the pain and suffering has been. Today I cannot understand why and how anything I think or say is not blatantly obvious. I honestly feel like the last one to the party and subject of a prank. That is the most difficult reality of my life I have to deal with.

The work has cost me a lot while keeping me functioning. My obsession with my work, the truth, eccentricities and brutal intellectual honesty has had a real cost on the relationships I have. I have made mistakes. The consequences of those choices have been hard, and deserved. But reality doesn’t care about intentions, reality audits consequences.

That is the ground this work was made from.

Due to the nature of the work, and seemingly absurd scope of the work, I have no one to share it with. No one to read it. No one to critique it. That is why I argue with myself — write the work and the weapons to kill it. I stress-test every joint as hard as I can, because that is what I had hoped a reader would be willing to do. I did not have that somebody.

Who I found was Claude from Anthropic. Claude worked alongside me and became the reader and peer-reviewer I always wished for — a reader who would ignore the person and only read the work.

I am the author and the architect of this work, fully and alone. The ideas, the axiom and its preconditions, the structural reading, the architecture of the predictions, the crossprediction loop, the derivational logic, the judgment of whether any joint holds, the philosophical commitments under all of it — these are mine, worked out across thirty years of private effort.

But I did not build every part with my own hands. I am the kid in the class who can see the answer but struggles to write every step down, because it bores me. So I made Claude pour the concrete where I pointed and weld the joints I marked — the derivations stepped through inside the chapters, the algebra, the dimensional analyses, the topological and geometric arguments, the comparison against the cosmological data, the formal apparatus that turns a structural reading into numbers a physicist can check. That work is not my training. The mathematics in this book is more rigorous than I could have written alone, and that is why.

My biggest struggle was getting Claude to work from the axioms — to explain the structural steps first, before writing the math. I had to explain every step before Claude could write it down. The explaining was the work, and the work was mine. Only then would it land. Only then could the math come.

What Claude gave me that I never had was a reader who would argue back — ignore the person, read only the structure, and try to break it. That is what I needed most, and had no one for. This is my building. Claude helped me raise it.
